Meta AI pricing questions

Meta AI is free for everyday use. Meta One Core costs US$7.99 a month and Premium US$19.99. Business plans start at US$14.99 (Essential), US$49.99 (Advanced), US$149 (Expert) and US$499 (Max) a month per profile, as Meta announced them.

Yes. Meta AI stays free for everyday use in Meta's apps and at meta.ai. Meta One Core and Premium are optional paid bundles that add more Meta AI image and video generation.

No. Facebook Pages and business Instagram accounts cannot subscribe to Premium; it is for personal accounts. Businesses buy Essential, Advanced, Expert or Max, priced per profile, with team access for up to 4, 8 or 30 other people on the top three.

Meta One is bought in the mobile apps and renews monthly through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Meta publishes no sales tax statement for it, and no annual price.

Muse Code, Meta's terminal coding agent, costs US$5, US$15, US$50 or US$200 a month. It renews monthly with no refund on cancellation unless the law requires one. When a plan's limit is reached, you upgrade or wait for the limit to refresh.

Muse Spark costs US$1.25 per million input tokens and US$4.25 per million output tokens in Standard mode, and Muse Wonder US$4 and US$20. The API bills in arrears on a card, when a payment threshold is reached and on the 1st of each month. There is no hard spending cap, only an alert, and refunds are not available.

Meta AI has stayed free. Meta One launched worldwide on 15 September 2026 at US$7.99 for Core and US$19.99 for Premium. Muse Code plans came out of beta on 31 August 2026, and Maximum Usage at US$200 arrived on 12 October 2026.

Meta AI pricing sources and methodology

Meta One prices are the US dollar prices in Meta's own launch announcement of 15 September 2026, matched by TechCrunch's report the same day. Meta's plans page renders its prices by script and could not be read. The business plans are starting prices: Meta says plans and pricing vary by region, app and account. Meta publishes no sales tax statement, so prices are shown as announced, before any sales tax.

Estimates from Meta's announced US dollar prices, before any sales tax. Free, Core and Premium serve one person each. The business plans are priced per profile, with each extra profile at the plan's price again, and cover the account holder plus the other people Meta's team access allows: 4 on Advanced, 8 on Expert and 30 on Max. Meta lists no team access for Essential, so it is taken as one person. Company size assumes every employee needs access to one business profile. API tokens are priced on the chosen model from Ensurva's AI price guides. Muse Code covers the coding agent only, so it is listed but not priced by the calculator.

The API table comes from the same data as Ensurva's AI price guides, read from Meta's own pricing pages, in US dollars per million tokens. Contributor mode prices are left out of the table because they trade price for Meta training on your content; they are listed under offers.

Meta's own pricing page and developer blog, in US dollars per million tokens. No plan price history is kept for this page.

Drawn from how Meta charges, not from records of negotiated deals.

No public comments on Meta AI's pricing from people in the US were collected for this page, so the section is left off.

Checked monthly against Meta's own pages.

The calculator's By use case tab puts each person on a seat that suits how heavily their role uses AI. Software developers use it most, about 15% of their working hours against about 6% across all workers (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 2026), so they get the heavier seat where the plan has one. Content, support and finance staff fit a standard seat, and general office staff use AI least. Each automated job is priced at a typical size, about 100 tokens to 75 words: a support reply reads about 1,100 words and writes 200, and a contract summary reads 10,000 and writes 750. Decision jobs read the record and give a short typed answer: about 600 words to route a support ticket, 4,500 to check a document against a policy. Those sizes are Ensurva's own estimates. A model that writes no text, such as Jev, is priced on decision jobs only. Jobs are priced as API use on the vendor's default model, less any API credits the plan includes.

Prices are estimates from Meta's announced US dollar prices on the date shown, before any sales tax. Check the price in the Meta app before buying.
