Most comments were about usage limits for the price: Pro at about A$34 running out quickly, and nothing between it and Max at about A$170. In July and August several people reported extra usage or auto-reload switched on in their accounts without their action, with charges of A$31 to A$50. The positive comments mostly said a subscription costs far less than the same work would at API rates, and a few noted the AUD price sits above a straight conversion of the US price.

Team is A$43 a seat a month for standard seats and A$213 for premium seats, or A$34 and A$170 paid yearly, for 2 to 150 people. Enterprise is US$20 a seat a month paid yearly, plus usage. All AUD prices include GST.
Yes. Anthropic's pricing page shows Australian visitors AUD prices with the line "Prices include 10% GST". Enterprise is the exception, quoted in US dollars. Anthropic says tax follows the billing address, and a tax ID added to an account applies to future bills only.
Pro and Max are for one person each, and differ in how much use they allow: Max 5x gives 5 times Pro's usage per session. Team is for 2 to 150 people with central billing and admin, in standard seats at 1.25 times Pro's usage or premium seats at 6.25 times.
Yes, on Pro and Team. Pro is A$340 a year against A$408 paid monthly, about 17% less. Team seats are about 20% less: A$34 against A$43 for standard and A$170 against A$213 for premium. Max is monthly only.
Paid plans can keep going on prepaid usage credits, charged at API rates, with an optional monthly spend limit. Credits bought in bundles cost 10% to 30% less. Without credits, use pauses until the session or weekly limit resets.
The API is priced per million tokens and billed separately from any plan. Claude Haiku 5.5 is US$0.10 for input and US$0.50 for output; Claude Sonnet 5.5 is US$2 and US$10; Claude Opus 5.5 is US$4 and US$20.
In US dollars, Pro has stayed at US$20 a month. Max launched in April 2025 at US$100 and US$200. Team was cut in January 2026, standard seats from US$30 to US$25 and premium from US$150 to US$125, and its minimum fell from 5 seats to 2 in July 2026. The page shows AUD prices with "Prices include 10% GST", and also a generic line that prices exclude tax; the GST line is the one printed with the AUD figures, so prices here are taken as including GST.
Estimates from list prices, including GST. Free, Pro and Max serve one person each, so two or more people are priced on Team standard seats. Extra usage is added at cost. API tokens are priced on the chosen model from Ensurva's AI price guides, in US dollars converted to AUD at the European Central Bank reference rate (1 USD = 1.447 AUD, 15 October 2026), less the monthly API credits Max and Team include, which are taken as US dollars. Company size assumes every employee gets a seat and no extra usage. Enterprise is quoted in US dollars and is not priced.
Left out of the plans and the calculator: Anthropic's Australian page shows no AUD price for it. Its US price is US$200 a month.

The calculator's By use case tab puts each person on a seat that suits how heavily their role uses AI. Software developers use it most, about 15% of their working hours against about 6% across all workers (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 2026), so they get the heavier seat where the plan has one. Content, support and finance staff fit a standard seat, and general office staff use AI least. Each automated job is priced at a typical size, about 100 tokens to 75 words: a support reply reads about 1,100 words and writes 200, and a contract summary reads 10,000 and writes 750. Decision jobs read the record and give a short typed answer: about 600 words to route a support ticket, 4,500 to check a document against a policy. Those sizes are Ensurva's own estimates. A model that writes no text, such as Jev, is priced on decision jobs only. Jobs are priced as API use on the vendor's default model, less any API credits the plan includes.
