MiniMax pricing questions

MiniMax Free costs nothing. M Plan Go is £16 a month, Explore £41 and Build £99, all before tax. Paid yearly they are £165, £412 and £990 a year.

No. MiniMax describes M Plan as a subscription for individuals and sells no per-seat or team version. It recommends pay as you go API use for production work. A Token Plan for Teams was sold briefly from late August 2026 and, according to a third-party tracker, closed to new buyers on 5 September.

MiniMax prices in US dollars only, so a card may add foreign transaction fees. Its terms say sales tax or VAT may apply based on the billing location, calculated by its payment processor at checkout and shown before payment. Businesses can enter a VAT number at checkout, which then appears on invoices.

Usage and video. Explore gives 3 times and Build 7.5 times the usage of Go, and only Explore and Build include the H3 video model. Build adds priority access at peak hours. Every plan covers MiniMax Code and a Subscription Key for tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode, all drawing on the same allowance.

Usage runs on a 5-hour and a weekly window. Past either limit, use continues from separately bought credit packs at 1,000 credits per US$1, the pay as you go list price, valid one year. Without credits, you can upgrade, wait for the window to reset, or switch the tool to a pay as you go API key.

MiniMax-M3 costs US$0.30 per million input tokens and US$1.20 per million output tokens up to 512k input tokens, shown as a permanent 50% off its US$0.60 and US$2.40 list price. Past 512k it is US$0.60 and US$2.40. The API is paid from a prepaid US dollar balance.

Yes. Its coding subscription was US$10, US$20 and US$50 a month in February 2026. Token Plan replaced it in March and added a US$120 Ultra tier in June. Token Plan rose about 10% in late August 2026 to US$22, US$55 and US$132, and M Plan kept those prices when it replaced Token Plan on 30 September 2026.

MiniMax pricing sources and methodology

From minimax.io/m-plan on 18 October 2026 and MiniMax's docs. The page showed the same US dollar prices to visitors from the UK, the US, Canada and Singapore. Prices are in US dollars, and the platform terms say tax is calculated at checkout from the billing location, so prices here exclude VAT. Annual per month is each yearly price divided by 12. This page covers MiniMax's international platform, not its China site, which prices in yuan.

Estimates from list prices, excluding VAT, calculated in US dollars and converted to GBP at the European Central Bank reference rate (1 USD = 0.74989 GBP, 16 October 2026). Every plan serves one person and MiniMax sells no team plan, so two or more people are not estimated. Extra usage is added at cost and is not rounded up to whole credit packs. API tokens are priced on the chosen model from Ensurva's AI price guides; no plan includes API credits. Company size assumes every employee gets a seat.

The API table comes from the same data as Ensurva's AI price guides, read from MiniMax's own pricing pages, in US dollars per million tokens.

The chart shows MiniMax's API prices, from the same data as Ensurva's AI price guides. The M Plan's price history is not charted for United Kingdom. The plan price changes in the questions above are US dollar list prices, monthly, before tax, from MiniMax's changelog, archived copies of its docs, and third-party sources (aibase.com, codepick.dev, VentureBeat and the usagepricing.com tracker) for dates MiniMax does not publish.

The calculator's By use case tab puts each person on a seat that suits how heavily their role uses AI. Software developers use it most, about 15% of their working hours against about 6% across all workers (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 2026), so they get the heavier seat where the plan has one. Content, support and finance staff fit a standard seat, and general office staff use AI least. Each automated job is priced at a typical size, about 100 tokens to 75 words: a support reply reads about 1,100 words and writes 200, and a contract summary reads 10,000 and writes 750. Decision jobs read the record and give a short typed answer: about 600 words to route a support ticket, 4,500 to check a document against a policy. Those sizes are Ensurva's own estimates. A model that writes no text, such as Jev, is priced on decision jobs only. Jobs are priced as API use on the vendor's default model, less any API credits the plan includes.

Prices are estimates from MiniMax's published list prices on the date shown. Check minimax.io before buying.
