Google sells Gemini to Canadians two ways, both in CAD. Google AI plans (Plus, Pro and Ultra) are for one person each, on personal Google Accounts only. Google Workspace Business editions include Gemini for 1 to 300 users and are how Google sells it to businesses. Workspace prices exclude GST/HST. Google does not say whether the Google AI plan prices include GST/HST. Gemini Enterprise, a separate agent platform, is priced in US dollars, and the Gemini API is priced per million tokens.

Gemini pricing questions
Gemini without a plan costs nothing. Google AI Plus is C$6.99 a month, Google AI Pro C$27, and Google AI Ultra C$140 or C$280 depending on its limits. In Google Workspace, Business Starter is C$9.20, Standard C$18 and Plus C$29 a user a month on an annual plan, or C$11, C$22 and C$34 on the Flexible plan, excluding GST/HST.
Not on a business account. Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra can only be bought on personal Google Accounts, and Google points Workspace customers to Workspace editions and add-ons instead. For a business, Gemini comes with Google Workspace Business Starter, Standard or Plus.
Workspace prices do not: Google's Canadian page says they do not include tax, and Google charges GST, HST, QST or PST by the province of the billing address unless a tax ID exemption is claimed. Google does not say whether the Google AI plan prices include tax.
Business Standard and above. Business Starter has Gemini in Gmail and basic Gemini app access only. Standard adds Gemini in Docs, Sheets, Slides, Vids, Drive, Meet and Chat, at C$18 a user a month on an annual plan or C$22 on the Flexible plan.
On Workspace, an annual commitment costs about 16% less than the Flexible plan and is still billed monthly. Google AI Plus is C$70 a year in the Canadian App Store. No yearly price for Google AI Pro or Ultra is shown on a Google page.
Google's US page says Google AI Pro includes US$10 a month of Google Cloud credits through the Google Developer Program, and Ultra US$40 or US$100. Whether Canadian subscribers get them was not confirmed, so this page does not count them against API costs.
The API is priced per million tokens, in US dollars, and billed through Google Cloud Billing from a minimum prepaid top-up of US$5. Gemini 3.8 Flash is US$0.75 for input and US$3.75 for output; Gemini 4 Argon is US$2 and US$10 until 30 November 2026, then US$4 and US$20; Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite is US$0.30 and US$2.50.
On 16 January 2025 Google put Gemini into Workspace Business plans and raised Business Standard from US$12 to US$14 a user a month. On 19 May 2026 Google added an Ultra plan at US$100 a month and cut the top Ultra plan from US$250 to US$200. Earlier Canadian prices are not tracked on this page yet.

Workspace prices exclude GST/HST: Google's Canadian page says they do not include tax, and Google charges GST, HST, QST or PST by province unless an exemption is claimed. Google's Canadian subscriptions page carries no tax wording for Google AI plans, so whether those include tax is not known. Every price on this page is treated as excluding tax.
Estimates from list prices. Google AI plans serve one person each on a personal account, so two or more people are priced on Google Workspace, monthly on the Flexible plan and yearly on the annual commitment. AI credit top-ups are added at cost. API tokens are priced on the chosen model from Ensurva's AI price guides, in US dollars converted to CAD at the European Central Bank reference rate (1 USD = 1.4161 CAD, 16 October 2026), with no Google Cloud credits taken off. Company size assumes every employee gets a Workspace user. Workspace Enterprise and Gemini Enterprise are not priced.

The calculator's By use case tab puts each person on a seat that suits how heavily their role uses AI. Software developers use it most, about 15% of their working hours against about 6% across all workers (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, 2026), so they get the heavier seat where the plan has one. Content, support and finance staff fit a standard seat, and general office staff use AI least. Each automated job is priced at a typical size, about 100 tokens to 75 words: a support reply reads about 1,100 words and writes 200, and a contract summary reads 10,000 and writes 750. Decision jobs read the record and give a short typed answer: about 600 words to route a support ticket, 4,500 to check a document against a policy. Those sizes are Ensurva's own estimates. A model that writes no text, such as Jev, is priced on decision jobs only. Jobs are priced as API use on the vendor's default model, less any API credits the plan includes.
