Vertice alternatives in 2026: options for businesses without a procurement team

Key takeaways

  • Vertice acquired Vendr in June 2026. If you were a Vendr customer, or were evaluating it, you are now looking at Vertice.
  • Vertice is built around intake and approval workflows, so it assumes a procurement process already exists.
  • It publishes no prices and sells on annual contracts from about US$10,000 a year, with no free tier or trial.
  • Ensurva is A$99 a month, monthly and cancel any time, and built for businesses with no procurement function.

Vertice combines intake to procure workflows, expert led negotiation and contractually guaranteed savings, and since June 2026 it also owns Vendr. For a finance or procurement team already running a procurement process, that is a strong combination. For a business that has never had a procurement team, and does not plan to, it is built around a process that is not there.

This guide compares seven alternatives on who they are built for, what they cover, and what they cost to start.

The shortlist

Prices are each vendor’s published or reported starting price. They change often, so confirm with the vendor before you buy. For reference, our compare page lists Vertice at US$10,000+ a year for 200+ employees.

Why people look for a Vertice alternative

  • The Vendr acquisition. Vendr customers are being moved toward Vertice, and some of Vendr’s site, its pricing included, now points there. That is a natural moment to check whether the fit is right.
  • It needs a procurement process. Intake and approval routing is core to how Vertice works: employees log requests through its workflows. A business without a procurement function has nobody to run that.
  • Size. On G2’s own reviewer breakdown, only 3.8% of Vertice’s reviews come from companies with 50 or fewer employees.
  • Pricing and terms. No prices are published, contracts are annual, and there is no free tier or trial, only a self guided product tour.

How we compared them

This comparison is drawn from each vendor’s public information: its website, pricing pages and announcements. We have not run trials of the other tools, so nothing here is a hands-on review. Ensurva is our product; it is first because this guide is written for the businesses it is built for, and where another tool is the better fit, we say so.

The options in detail

Ensurva

Best for: businesses with 20 to 200 employees, 30 or more vendors and no procurement function.

Ensurva needs no intake process. It connects to Xero and builds its picture from every past and current vendor payment, so nobody has to log a request for a vendor to appear. It covers software, service providers and suppliers together, captures contract terms in plain language, and tracks renewals across every vendor type. A$99 a month, monthly, cancel any time, with a 14 day trial.

What it does not do: negotiate for you, or guarantee savings. Every figure Ensurva shows is labelled an estimate. If guaranteed, negotiated outcomes are what you need, Vertice or Tropic is built for that.

Ensurva vs Vertice

Tropic

Best for: finance and procurement teams spending six or seven figures a year on software.

Tropic is the closest like for like alternative: proprietary pricing intelligence, expert negotiators and negotiation agents for SaaS and AI vendors. It is built for 500 or more employees and starts at about US$3,167 a month.

Ensurva vs Tropic

Sastrify

Best for: mid market teams that want managed negotiation with licence management.

Sastrify combines software discovery, licence management and managed negotiation services. It is built for 150 to 1,000 employees and starts at about €12,500 a year per module.

Ensurva vs Sastrify

Zylo

Best for: large organisations that need an enterprise system of record for SaaS and AI spend.

Zylo builds its record from ERP, accounts payable and expense data, with paid managed services. It is built for 500 or more employees and starts at about US$20,000 a year.

Torii

Best for: IT teams managing identity governance and application sprawl.

Torii covers SaaS and AI discovery, identity governance and cost optimisation. It is built for 500 or more employees and starts at about US$10,000 a year.

Ensurva vs Torii

Spendbase

Best for: teams that want software discounts with virtual cards and digital banking.

Spendbase covers software and cloud spend alongside banking, virtual cards and partner discounts. It has a free banking tier; its paid tier is a calculated deposit with no published figure.

Ensurva vs Spendbase

A spreadsheet

Best for: fewer than 30 vendors, with one person who clearly owns the list.

Free, and fine at that scale. It falls behind once the list grows past what one person can keep current.

How to choose

  1. Do you run a procurement process today? If yes, Vertice, Tropic and Sastrify build on it. If no, choose a tool that does not need one.
  2. Do you want negotiation or visibility? Negotiation services pay off when you already know every vendor and renewal. If you do not, start with visibility.
  3. Is it only software? Every tool here except Ensurva leaves out agencies, contractors and suppliers.
  4. Annual contract or monthly? Ensurva is monthly and cancel any time; most of the rest are annual.

Frequently asked questions

Is Vertice the same company as Vendr now?

Vertice acquired Vendr, announced in June 2026. Vendr continues to operate, but some of its site, including pricing, now points to Vertice.

Why does Vertice not publish its pricing?

Vertice sells on a quote basis, with guaranteed savings built into the commercial model, which usually means pricing is scoped to each customer’s spend rather than published.

Would Vertice work for a 40 person business with no procurement team?

On G2’s own reviewer breakdown, only 3.8% of Vertice’s reviews come from companies with 50 or fewer employees. A business that size, with no procurement team, is closer to what Ensurva is built for.

Does Ensurva guarantee savings like Vertice does?

No. Ensurva does not negotiate on your behalf, so every dollar figure it shows is labelled an estimated opportunity, not a guarantee.

Does Vertice have a free trial?

No. There is no free tier or trial, only a self guided product tour. Ensurva has a 14 day trial.
